Smith Beede, was born i Vermont in 1818, and came to this country in Oct. 1828. Is a farmer and in company with his sons, keeps a hotel for summer boarders; has been commissioner and assessor for the town of Newcombs, also postmaster for the town of Keene. Was married in 1844 to Marion W. Chase, they have six children.
