I dont know if we are related as Charron is a pretty common name, but I am searching out the same as you - Indian roots. Anyways, I am not sure where you are, but the National Archives is a great place to start providing you have birth dates, marriage and death dates, places....whatever you have on hand. Be prepared to spend alot of time there, but the staff is pretty helpful. I managed to get there once for a couple hours, but just dont have alot of time to do that so i have turned to message boards in hopes of someone reading my requests for help. Good luck to you in your search! Any relation to Louis or Noe Charron from Poltimore Quebec??
