Thanks for the query.
In my family tree there is a James Milton Charles who was married to Eunice Donaldson on 5-6-1887. I have yet to figure out his siblings or parents. I know he had two children: William (married to Jeannette Steward) and Albius Eugene (married to Hulda McGinnis). I am descended from Albius. The Charles in Ohio lived in Perrysburg, which is near Toledo (county unknown) and Waterville. They also lived in Iowa before the "dust bowl" years, but returned to Perrysburg and died there.
Oh, I gather our family came to USA by way of Mass from a guy named John or Johnathon Charles in the mid 1600s. The links to now are hard to find though. It could be that the James you are looking for was an ancestor of my James. James is prevalent family first name.
