I've labeled everything about Coit CHARLES as alleged and much of it as doubtful. According to the 1900 KY census he was born in TX in 1865 and his parents were born in VT and NY. He abandened his wife and infant son about 1901 and was said to have died in SD about 1907. (None of this can be verified independently, thus far.) Any clues appreciated. He may have been a rat but he could have come from good parents.
