I'm not a CHARLES researcher but thought this may help someone search their English ancestors. In the 1891 Biographical History of Pottawattamie County, Iowa, there is a bio for William CHARLES, born Cornwall, England, October 15, 1837, son of Richard CHARLES and Mary (OTIS) CHARLES. Richard was son of Philip CHARLES. This bio will be posted at the USGenWeb site for Pottawattamie County, IA, at:
