George 1892 Pike KY

I ran across something recently and am confused. There was a George Charles reportedly born Feb 9 1892 in Zebulon, Pike Co, KY that was married to, again reportedly, Laura May d/o James May and Sarah Baker, both of Pike Co, KY. When I looked up the births of some of the people who were supposed to be the children, the mother's name was either Laura May or Laura Baker. About half kids in each name. Does anyone have any ideas?
