Jules Charbneau also had a brother Peter Dominic (?) Charbeneau, who was my grandfather.

I am aware that Jules changed the family name but not sure of the reasons, he did live in California, but was not a failed business. He at one time was a vice president for an Insurance company...and travelled the world in search of minature art and collectibles.

He actually has many of these items in the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum in San Francisco, CA. There was also a book published on the museum which features Jules and some of his collection (photographs) in said book.
