Based on the other mis-spellings that you've found I'd guess the given name is mis-spelled as well.

If I were in your shoes I'd focus on "Toussaint Charbonneau" as the name for my search... Toussaint is a rather common given name in the Charbonneau lines so you'll most liekely find references to several.
