Follow up to 1st message: Spelling of Oran I believe was ORRIN S. CHAPPELL. I found a Lousia Chappell, born 1817 in Onondoga, NY; died 1887 in Sauquoit, NY with brothers, Daniel, Harrison and Orrin. Since my Orrin was born in NY, I believe this to be his family and my Louisa was named after her aunt Lousia. Is there anyone out there who lives in NY or has access to any NY records that could prove this theory. Thanks for any help. Jeanine
