Hello all,
I have a small bit of info on a Chappell family in OKLA. MY grandmother was Flossie Owens Ralston, her parents were Arthur Owens & Minnie Adolaid CHAPPELL, daughter of William Robert Chappell who was b. July 14, 1847 in TN. He was married in Oct 5, 1865 or 1869 in Potosi MO to Eleanor Stills b Nov 22, 1854 in OH & she maybe died in Stone Co MO.
I have names of 9 children & dates of births from 1872-1896 for them.

His tombstone reads William R. Chappell Confederate State Army 1847-1923,
Co E 1 ARK CAV
& he is buried at Eakly, Caddo Co. OK.
The Owens family came from Stone Co MO to OK abt 1901-2 & settled in Caddo Co. & William Robert Chappell came to live too but there is no stone for Eleanor Stiles Chappell at the cemetery.
In other info on the Owens family I found mention & photo of a Robert William Chappell d. 6 Feb 1963 Anadarko & buried at Binger Cemetery, Caddo Co & he was married to
Palenstine "Pal" Owens. I have gathered more on the Owens family & some tells of some of the Owens family tried to find work in Calif.
One died there leaving his wife & several small children there. Just wondered if any of the Chappells had traveled west to Calif in the early 1900's too & might be kin.
Minnie & Arthur Owens married in Stone Co Mo so believe her family were living there at the time, Arthur Owens family are buried in the OWENS Cemetery in Stone Co, MO.
I've been searching for parents of William Robert Chappell & had no luck so far.or
on finding d.cert or any pension papers..HELP!!
