I am inquiring as to if anyone has info on my family line from Tennessee and Kentucky? Charles Huston Chapell(Chappell) and Mary Ann Hobbs Chappell were married and living in Graves county Kentucky. Charles Huston was born in Tennessee in 1838 which should put him at the ripe age for service in the Civil War. They had several children one of which is my Great Grandfather Charles Edward Chappell.
Other members are Charles Archibald Chappell and Charles Loyd Chappell. Charles Edward married Dora Crowley from Arkansas whom later married Tom Toon from Fancy Farm.
The Haydens, Toons, Hobbs, and Chappells all inter-married
and lived close for many years. In my research concerning the Catholic heritage I find some evidence to suggest my line comes originally from Virginia but other evidence points to Maryland? I know it was sometime after the Revolution and that some of my family settled in Washington county Kentucky.
