Hi Brenda! Apologies for the delay in responding after returning from a trip recently. The dates you refer to, "Born in 1862. died in 1928" would preclude this from being your G-Gfather as it was written (1848) 20 years before your relative was born. Perhaps he was the son of the one that is referred to in the letter. Do you know your paternal G-G Grandfathers name? I'm just looking to see if there is someone connected to the two women or Mr. Chappell who would want the letter. We don't even know how or why it was in my Mother in-laws stuff.
