I'm Sterling's youngest daughter, Judith.
Eli CHAPPELL, son of Britton and Rebecca CHAPPELL, was born 15 to 20 years after our Eli was born.
Our Eli CHAPPELL, b. ca. 1810 Wake Co., NC, d. ca 1864 Johnson Co., AR (in area now Logan Co., AR) may be the son of Ansel CHAPPELL, b. Wake Co., NC and d. Hickman Co., TN.
Eli married Annis/Andis (HARDWICK?) in Hickman Co., TN then moved to Johnson Co., AR where he was murdered according to family legend. Also moving to Johnson Co., AR were some of the CLARK family, including Charlotte CLARK nee CHAPPELL who may be Eli's sister. Ansel CHAPPELL had a son, Hansel CHAPPELL, too.
