A possible connection to your Jesse and John may be in Meriwether County. William Chappell [will p. 1845] and his wife Margaret Cooper [d. after 1870 census]had sons Jesse and John who were too old for your Jesse and John, but the family names would indicate a connection. Wm and Margaret had a daughter Sarah who m. [1] Rev. Peter Twitty and [2] Jordan Spivey.
I descend from Sarah and Jordan. Their dau Sarah Margaret m. William Mote in 1851 and moved to Carroll Co near Mt.Zion and she is buried at Smyrna Methodist Church there. Hope this helps.
