In England during the sixteenth century at this time there were three John Chappells. Two of them comming to VA. one being Capt. John on the ship Seedwell and the other John comming on the ship Assurance in July, 1635. So with that gap in years and one remaining John in England it's hard to say that this is your direct line but most likely there is some connection.
