J. Beckham and Jesse did have a sister, but her name is actually Keturah.

1880 census Carroll Co. Ga has:

James L. Chappell and Martha C. had the following children

Keturah age 12,
James B.age 9,
Thomas J.age7 and
Georgia (male) age 4.
