Carolyn,
Do you have anything on a John Chappell who married a Mary Henly in Chowan or Perquimans County? Their daughter Huldah Chappell married James Evans in Chowan on September 28, 1807.
My wife has another line of Chappell's on her mother's side of the family too. We think Kizziah/Keziah/Kesiah Chappell born about 1846 who married David L. Copeland was a daughter of an Isaac Chappell. We keep getting conflicting info on Keziah's parents. She and David were married 1866 in Chowan County. David was the son of an Elijah Copeland and Catherine Winslow. They were in Perquimans by 1880, Belvidere area, and had sons William Walter Copeland, Hugh, and John, plus several daughters.
Hugh Copeland married Lucille Ethel Evans, daughter of Charles Evans, who was a grandson of the James Evans who married Huldah Chappell. Thanks
