Dear Gillian,

Yes! Charles Arthur Chappell is on my family tree. My Family Tree Maker tells me that he was my 2nd cousin 3 times removed! Not exactly close!

He was the sixth child of Barnard and Charlotte Elizabeth Tilmouth. He was baptised in St Nicholas Church in Witham on 1st August 1853 so he was obviously born in 1853 not 1854. I didn't know he was married to Eva Thompson. I don't know the names of any children he may have had or when he died or anything else about him because I haven't actually researched him thoroughly. I have tended to concentrate on my immediate ancestors.

His great grandparents Barnard and Esther were my 4th great grandparents.

Are you related to him? Or to any other members of his family? Where are you? I don't have any Gillians on my tree.

I live about 20 miles to the west of Cambridge in the UK. I have been researching my family for about seven years and have a rather large and complex Chappell tree and somewhat simpler trees for other branches of my family and my wife's family.

I would be very interested to exchange information.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Kindest regards,

Peter
