My grandmother was Melissa Chappells born in indian territory 1896.Her father was John Chappells (from Missouri)married Henrietta Hall. John was killed in a tornado with his daughter Sapheona and son James in 1930 or 1932. Her brother George Logan Chappells died in Muskogee in 1922. She had a brother named Charlie E.C. and William Mansfield Chappell. Melissa died in 1922 of TB. She married Walter McMillian and they had four children Nora,Flossie,Ruby and Jackie. Flossie was my mother.
Any info of these Okla. Chappell would be helpful.
