my grandmother was african/indian descent; my understanding is that her maiden name was chappelle, chapel, or chapell. her name was susie chapelle. her father, my great-grandfather was named perman chappel; he was called p.m. for short; i met him when i was 8 or 9 years old and was told he was half indian; i remember him being very tall and red cheekbones; my grandmother susie married a man by the name of leslie or lester or lessie spradley or spraguely; i think my grandmother was born in quincy, florida or her family was from there. i remember traveling to quincy when i was a little girl on a train. it was all red houses (barns and farm houses). my grandmother susie was born september 17, 1899; if not september it was december; i know she died december 27, 1977 in daytona beach, florida. let me know what you know
