I am looking for any info on my father who died when I was very young. I am looking for any information on my father, John Stevenson Greer, aka, John Greer, Steve Greer, Steve Chapman,Charles Chapman. He was born in Wardell, Missouri, Aug 3 1903; he died in Thousand Oaks California in 1962. He had an older sister who I think was named Lenore who may have lived in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents died when he was young and his maternal uncle, Charles Harry Chapman from Ohio raised him.
He was married to? in the early 1930’s in or about Indiana, and had two children, I believe their names were Edgar Greer and Norma Greer.
He went into the army in Georgia, Ft Oglethorpe.
He remarried in 1937 to Helen Rasey in Yuma Arizona under the name John Stevenson Greer. He traveled with a carnival, and lived most of the time in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, California.
The name Tippy Chapman from Michigan has also came up as an uncle.
