I'm trying to find the parents of Lucretia Hatfield, born about 1816 in Kentucky. The 1880 census shows her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Kentucky. Lucretia married Anderson Chapman March 31, 1835 in Henry Co, Indiana. Anderson was born 1860 in VA.
Anderson Chapman's parents are Thomas b. 5/19/1789 in VA and Anky or Anka Harvey b. 4/18/1787 Monroe Co, VA. Thomas and Anky (Anka) are buried in Honey Creek, Henry Co, IN.
Children of Anderson and Lucretia are:
Thomas b.1836 Indiana
William Henry b.1839-1915 Indiana
Joseph b.1842
Mary C b.1843
George b.1845
Emma b.1853
Elizabeth b.1856
Ellen b.1859
It seems this family moved from Indiana to Illinois and Iowa, then back to Illinois. Lucretia and Anderson are residing in Jo Daviess Co, IL as of the 1880 census.
There are many Lucretia Hatfield's, but none seem to fit the one in my line.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
