Debi,

In reference to your posting for Leonard M. Chapman, if you will go back and punch in 7148 in the box below your date, you will see information concerning Margaret Ophelia Chapman, posted by Dianne Smith. She was born at Sangaree Plantation, SC and her husband was from around Myrtle Beach, SC. They then moved down to the Savannah area. This middle name of Ophelia might be your kin folk. Usually a name like Ophelia indicates they respected the female enough to continue that name with later generations.

Debi, I am very familiar with most of the Chapman clans in North and South Carolina, and Georgia area. Give me a buzz and maybe we might have some connections.

Thanks,
Francis Chapman Tuttle, Jr. (Chip)
