Hello,
I am looking for any info on William, Annie & Nellie Chaplin sent to Canada after they were orphaned:
William Frederick Chaplin
age 8
Departed from Liverpool aboard Sardinian May 17 1888
Arrived in Halifax May 30 1888
Annie Chaplin
Age 5
Departed from Liverpool aboard Parisian July 12 1888
Arrived in Quebec July 21 1888
Destination Stratford Ontario
Nellie Chaplin
Age 4
Departed from Liverpool aboard Parisian July 12 1888
Arrived in Quebec July 21 1888
Destination Stratford Ontario
William Frederick would be my Great Granfather. Apparently he and his sisters lost contact and one may have become pregnant out of wedlock. The sisters may have both moved to the U.S. in adulthood. I have done numerous searches on both and have found a Nellie Chaplin of Otisfield, Maine, US who died March 17, 1946 at age 62, which would correlate with the age of the little girl believed to be my great grandfather's sister.
Any info that you have, please let me know. I am very interested in my family history.
