I am a descendant of the Chaplins of Rowley, Massachusetts. I presume you are also a descendant of Hugh and Joseph Chaplin? Is this correct? Can you tell me which of the Chaplin family members are your ancestors?

Joseph Chaplin's son Jeremiah Chaplin (1680-1765) and his grandson, Ensign Ebenezer Chaplin (b. 1720 in Rowley) were my ancestors. Ensign Ebenezer Chaplin left Massachusetts and settled in New Hampshire before the Revolutionary War. His grandson, also named Ebenezer Chaplin, was born in New Hampshire and he lived in Sackett Harbor, New York, about the time of the War of 1812. I look forward to your reply.
