Reuben and Lydia Chaplin are found in the 1860 census records Newburgh Twp, Pike, Illinois.
Along with Reuben and Lydia's family is a M. Chaplin(s)a carpenter age 24 and Clara age 4.

Reubens obit was in THE FREMONT TIMES 5 JUL 1907. There are many errors in his obit but I can send a copy of his obit if you are interested.
