Is there anyone out there familiar with the name/family of Dr. Hermenegildo Chapa Campos (1877-1966)? He married María Francisca Chapa González (1884-?). Both were of Dr. González NL. Hermengildo (or son?) also wrote a book on his family (I've seen it once).
From what I can tell Hermengildos parents were Manuel Chapa Campos & Silvestra Benavides Escamilla, both of Dr. González, NL.
Manuels parents are Roman Chapa Martínez & Romana Campos Benavides, Both of Dr. González NL.
Romans parents are Onicéforo Chapa Gutiérrez & María del Refugio Martínez Martínez of Dr. González and Marin, NL, respectively.
I'm looking to see how they tie in w/ my family early on (Chapa) and as well as later on to a cousin of my father (Muñoz, located in the Río Grande Valley, TX). His (cousin) maternal grandmother is named Juana and she married a García.
I also have posts on the Salinas (Río Grande Valley/north México) and Muñoz (Río Grande VAlley/Jalisco, México) forums.
