A relative doing research on Refugia Chapa found the following:
Center for American History a Baptismal record for
Esteban Trevino y Chapa. It was #342 (Birth Registers
1848). It has listed parents as Ysidoro Trevino and
Maria del Regugio Chapa. Abuelos Paternos were Jesus
Trevino and Reyes Garza. Abuelos Maternos were Monico
Chapa and Eduvijes Rodrigues. Padrinos were Justo
Benavides and Paulina Villar. He was baptized el 27
de dec de 1858 de 11 dias.
Monico Chapa was the son of Joseph Francisco Chapa and Margarita De la Garza. Joseph Francisco Chapa was the son of Nicolas Chapa (of porcion 22) and Josefa Lopez Bermudez.
