My grandmother was Soledad Chapa Salinas. She was from General Trevino, Nuevo Leon and married Samuel Valle Madrigal from, I believe, the same area. I believe my grandmother was born in 1894. They moved to Laredo, Texas sometime during the Mexican Revolution. She widowed in the 1930s and raised her 5 sons and 1 daughter on her own. Her brothers, Santos and Ventura Chapa, raised their large families in Nuevo Laredo, where to this day, I have many cousins whose last name is Chapa. I don't know if this will help you, but it's always interesting to know people with seemingly close geneological roots. Best of luck.
