I'm looking for anyone who has information on the deaths of Jonathan Channell of Tucker County, WV and his second wife, Elizabeth C. Reed.
I've seen a lot of information (both on the web and in published genealogies) that give Jonathan's death date as April 25/6, 1873. However, no one that I've seen has listed the SOURCE of this information. Where did it come from? I've checked both Tucker County and Barbour County (where Jonathan's first wife died) to no avail. Does anyone out there know where he died? Where he's buried?
What about his wife Elizabeth Reed? I know that she was previously married to John Haddix, but I have found no information about her death either. Neither seems to be buried in the family cemetery near Jonathan's farm in Tucker County (actually called the Parsons Family Cemetery after James R. Parsons, whose children married two of Jonathan's). I have very little information on Elizabeth...
Can anyone help? Jonathan is my ggg-grandfather...
