Is this the same Jane Chaney Jordan who appears in the 1860 and 1870 Hickory Co Mo census'?Might her husbands name have been Alexander Thomas Jordan?Believe he was murdered in Hickory Co Mo about 1860.Have seen somewhere that she was a daughter of a Moses Chaney. But which Moses Chaney?? There were quite a few.If she was daughter of Moses Chaney who settled in Illinois, married to an Elizabeth Gilliand, then she may have been in Hickory Co because of Chaney relatives. Namely, Moses Chaney b 1808 and James Chaney b 1805, who would have been her 1st cousins I believe. Don't have proof of any of the info above about her but things I have run across. Have lots on James and Moses Chaney, who were sons of William and Mary Garrison Chaney of Simpson Co Ky/Sumner Co Tn.
