I live at Buskirk in Morgan Co. Ky.
My gg grandfather's name was George Chaney
He is buried in the Salem cematery at Buskirk. When I saw your inquiry I thought that too many things matched for me not to at least check it out.
The headstone for George Chaney reads
Dr. H.G.ChaneyJan 17, 1844 - Feb 29, 1916
His Wife
Polly ChaneyOct 17, 1833 - May 17, 1916

A stone nearby
Thomas Chaney1816 - 1898
His wife
Sophia Chaney1816 - 1886

My Father says that Polly's Maiden name could have been Moore but he is not sure.
I have never heard any mention of George's Father. My Grandfather is 92 years old. When I asked him about Thomas he said that he wasn't sure so I don't know if this is George's Father or another relative.
We had a Green Chaney 2 generations ago, a first cousin to my g Grandfather. Could have been named for this Thomas if his middle name was Greenberry??
