Yes, Patsy, if you'll read closer you will see that I said Richard md. Charity is not the son of the Daniel Chandler in Wilkes Co, NC, in 1790, 1800, and 1810. Also you speak of Daniel Chandler who was a son of William and Delitia nee Cox Dobyns Chandler. Yes, indeed, this couple did have a son named Daniel. He was not born 1761 as you have stated. He first appears on 1772 tax list for Lunenburg Co, VA, both as overseer for Uncle John Cox and also in W/D's household. That tax list was for for 16-year-olds and up, making Daniel's year of birth 1756 or earlier but not later. So W/D's Daniel was not born any 1761. Pls. change your records to reflect such. Daniel not only appears in W/D's household in Lunenburg but he also witnesses a deed for W/D. He signs as does his unmarried sister Keziah Chandler born 1758. I am wavering on the Wilkes Co, NC, Daniel as to whether he is the same as Wm/D's son. On the 1790 NC census, two Daniels appear, one in Surry and the one in Wilkes. The households are very similar except the Daniel in Wilkes has more females. But still this could be a case of Daniel being counted twice on the 1790 census, especially if he owned land or lived very near the county line. If I can prove this, then I have found my Daniel. I don't believe I ever said that Robert/Parthenia had a son named Timothy. I believe I said that Robert/Parthenia never had a son named Daniel. Paul has posted Robert and Parthenia's children: Bailey Chandler 14 July 1751 Robert Chandler 12 Aug 1753 Partheny Chandler 4 Mar 1758 Frances (Fanny) Chandler 12 July 1760 Josiah Chandler 12 July 1762 Rebecca (Becky) Chandler 19 Feb 1765 Parks Chandler 19 Feb 1767 Ryland Chandler 13 Mar 1769 Sarah Chandler 25 Mar 1772 Pitts Chandler 20 Nov 1775 Isaac Chandler 10 Jan 1777 It also notes that: Brother Pitts died 28 Mar 1786 Bailey died Apr 1809 Cheryl Notify Administrator about this message?
