Newberry S.C. Quakers Principel Centers were Kershaw,Newberry ,Union . Newberry formed from Camden in 1762.

Bush Creek Meeting in Newberry Co.S.C. ,Wrightsborough Monthy Meeting in Ga. & Cane Creek in Union Co.S.C.
Annals of Newbery S.C. list Mordecai Chandler belonged to Capt John Lyle's Company.
1790 Newberry S.C. census
Bailey Chandler
James Chandler
Jesse Chandler
John Chandler
Jacob Chandler

left S.C. in 1799 & 1830 some moved to Tenn.& Ala. Some to Ohio & Indiana to establish more churchs. These Chandler may not go back to John Chandler Va. history! Or they may I'm not sure . See my post here on Daniel Chandler ,some say he is Candler!! But, Daniel Chandler is with Stovell's in Bedford Co.Va. Quaker's.Joel Chandler in Henrico Co.Va. was around Stovell Quaker's & others.
In early Va. they didn't want more Quaker's coming in to Va. Some moved to Maryland because of the hard time they got from England. Ship capt's were taxed so they would not bring more in!
