I agree with Patsy Those families stayed together, moved together, married each other, and named their children after each other. These people are related to each other no matter what any one says. It is time for someone to take a new look at the Chandlers of Wilkes County. I have never seen anyone from the CFA claim to be certified genealogists, so it is possible that they have made mistakes in placing certain Chandlers in certain families. With all the Roberts, John, Josephs and Williams in there, it is possible that someone put the wrong one with the wrong family. I get confused with all of the Joseph's in the Joseph Chandler/Sarah Bilbo line. It is human to make a mistake especially with all those same names. it is not just Chandler Researchers, but other researchers in other lines make mistakes. I have one in another line where people have made this man and his nephew of the same name into one person. I have pointed out in vain, that this man could not have died at age 110 because they did not live that long back then, and also that it was impossible for his wife to have their first child at age 80. Even with today's technology have you ever heard of a woman at age 80 having a child? People just don't verify information like that, they just stick in in their family tree just because someone else said it was so. People do make mistakes and it is important to verify information. So let's take a new look at these Chandlers. They have to be related. I have always felt that Daniel Chandler, born 1755 and living in Wilkes County, NC was a close brother to Richard Chandler, born 1751, because Richard and Charity named their second son Daniel. Not Richard, but Daniel. The first son was Parks Chandler, named after Charity Parks. Also the John Chandler of Buncombe County, NC where our Richard lived, was John Chandler, Jr. son of John Chandler and Elizabeth Bottom. These people are related.
