Daniel Chandler Born c1755 or Earlier and Living in Wilkes Co, NC

I am curious about a Daniel Chandler who was born c1755 or earlier and who is listed in 1790, 1800, 1810 in Wilkes Co, NC.

The 1790 Wilkes census shows a number of Chandlers all assumed to be related or married into the Robert and Parthenia Bailey Chandler clan.

There is also an item floating out there that Robert removed to SC before going to Wilson Co, TN. I have no idea if this is correct.

I have read about how Robert at an older age set out with his clan to Wilson Co, TN, where he died 1805. It is said he left a will, but I have not seen it.

I have seen postings/listings at rootsweb of Robert's children. Nowhere do I see a Daniel listed as son.

After 1790, the only Chandlers on census records are said Daniel born c1755 or earlier and a Joel Chandler born c1756-1774. They are there in Wilkes for 1800 and 1810 and they disappear.

Does anyone know anything about this Daniel and Joel? Was Daniel a son of old Robert who removed to (SC? and then) Wilson Co, TN? I am wondering why Daniel remained in Wilkes if his father went off to TN?

Just curious about this Daniel and if anyone has found a connection to him? Since I am missing a Daniel (son of Wm/Delitia Cox Chandler) born about the same time as this Daniel I am wondering if the Wilkes Co one is my missing one. I don't think he is, that is why I seek anyone with info about this Daniel and Joel of Wilkes Co, NC. Any help appreciatedc a k e m p a t y a h o o d o t c o m.
