Does anyone know whether the "Ch" in Chandler was at one time pronounced as a "K" as in "character", thus accounting for seeing many Candlers which appear in the same locations...or, were they an entirely different family? I have come across some very possible relationships which appear to use this alternate spelling, perhaps due to the inividual recording the name. Thank you.
