I am seeking information on Marquil John C. Chandler b. abt. 1820 Alabama son of Robert Allis/Elias Chandler and Nancy Mobley. (Reverend Robert Chandler)
He is listed on the 1870 census living next door to his nephews & their families (sons of Elias Louis Chandler & Nancy A. Barrow)-Calvin Louis Chandler (spelled Calvan on the census)& Andrew J. Chandler.
Also, listed in the household is Jane E. Chandler, F, age 30;
Allis Chandler, F, age 90.
I am theorizing that his mother is listed as Allis Chandler instead of Mrs. Allis Chandler. We all know the errors that the census takers made.
Some researchers show him as John M. C. Chandler-with the middle initial C. for Calhoun.
I hope that someone can give me some additional information on him, such as spouse, date & place of marriage, etc.
Spouse's dob, dod, place-etc.
Is Jane E. Chandler his daughter, did he have other children? If so what are their names, dob, etc.?
I checked the CFA "John Chandler Descendent Chart Book 1600 to Present". (*Note-on my volumes it is spelled "Descendent" instead of Descendant-so I am leaving the title as it appears on my volumes.)
He is listed as:
93M 8--John M. Chandler b. 1821
