HELLO,
MY NAME IS DAVID LESSARD, AND I READ YOUR PLEA TO FIND INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DESENDANTS, AND YOUR CHALLENGE LOOKS TO BE A GRAND EFFORT TO SAY THE LEAST. THOUGH I WAS BORN IN THE NAME OF GOOD, THAT BLOOD LINE IS JUST THAT, AS MY BIOLOGICAL FATHER ABANDONED MY BROTHER AND MOTHER WHILE SHE WAS PREGENANT WITH ME, AND TO THIS DAY OF NEARLY 45 YEARS, HE NEVER RETURNED, NOT EVEN TO INQUIRE IN TO HOW HIS TWO SONS FARED. SO I WAS ADOPTED LEGALLY BY THE MAN TO WHOM I CALL MY DAD, DONALD LESSARD. I WILL OPEN THE DOOR TO THE INFO THAT I KNOW IN SO FAR AS WHERE THE LESSSARD LINIAGE & BACKGROUND OF IT'S FAMILY TREE BRANCHES OFF TO, MEANING THE LIMB THAT I CURRENTLY ROOST UPON. THE NAMES YOU HAVE MENTIONED ARE TWO NAMES THAT DESEND TO MY DAD, MEANING "philomine (m. Jerry Lessard)" THE "JERRY" THOUGH IS IN THE FORM OF GERALD. THESE TWO NAMES DESCRIBE MY DADS GRAND PARENTS, TO WHOM PRODUCED A NUMBER OF SONS. ONE OF THOSE SONS WAS MY DAD'S FATHER, MY GRANDDAD, TO WHOM ALSO HAS A NAME THAT YOU SEEM TO BE INQUIRING ABOUT, AND THAT IS THE NAME GEORGE WHO WAS BORN IN THE EARLY 1890'S. NOW AS TO THE PLACE OF ORGIN, IN SO FAR AS MICHIGAN, I CANT BE FOR SURE, BUT I AM CERTAIN THAT THE LINE DOES ASSOCIATE IN THE QUEBEC REGION BEFORE MOVING DOWN TO THE STATES. GEORGE, MY GRANDAD, IN HIS YOUTH WAS A COWBOY, AND HIRED HAND ON MANY RANCHES IN CANADA, AS WELL AS IN MONTANA, NORTH DAKOTA, WYOMING, ETC. HE SETTLED IN SOUTH DAKOTA WITH HIS WIFE, LOTTIE MAE, TO WHOM HE MET AT A NEIGHBORING RANCH. GEORGE HAD TWO BROTHERS THAT I KNOW OF, ONE WAS ALFRED, AND ONE WAS I BELIEVE RONALD, BUT DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS, AS HE WAS KILLED AS A YOUNG MAN WHILE HOMESTEADING IN THE BADLANDS, AND LIVED AS A HERMIT IN A HOGAN LIKE HOUSE MADE OF MUD AND BRANCHES. I HAVE TO SAY, FINDING ANY DEEP INFORMATION AT THIS POINT IS GOING TO BE EXTREEMLY DIFFICULT, AS BOTH OF MY GRAND PARENTS GEORGE AND LOTTIE HAVE BEEN GONE FOR MANY YEARS, AND MY DAD WHO IS NOW 83, HAS HAD ALMOST COMPLETE MEMORY LOSS DUE TO A STROKE 4 YEARS AGO, AND PRESENTLY SUFFERS THE A VERY PROGRESSIVE ALZHIEMER'S DISEASE. I DONT KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN ANY HELP TO YOU OR NOT, I JUST FOUND IT INTERESTING THAT YOUR INQUIREY INTO CERTAIN SPECIFIC FAMILY NAMES FELL SO CLOSE THE BRANCHES OF THE TREE TO WHICH I SIT AS WELL. GOOD LUCK, BE WELL, AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOUR SEARCH FARES!
