Thank you for the posting. I have collected a considerable amount of data for the Chanceys of Pasquotank, NC and do show Ann Chancey as the daughter of William Chancey Sr. and the wife of John Boyd, however I did not know he was a military man, and a General. I believe I will see if my local library can import that book to check out the Chancey data...always interested in that one more tid-bit that may link more families together.
