Pat, I think you are on the right track here concerning this family. I have nothing other than an obit that mentions the parents...maybe it will help you some...hope so.

Parker J. Chancey
Mershon--- Parker Judge Chancey, 65, died late Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Hospital in Waycross after a long illness.
He was a Pierce County native but lived in Jacksonville for many years before moving back here six months ago. He was a retired tileseter and attended Baptist church services. His parents were Benton and Ella Mae Durrance Chancey.
Survivors are a sister, Clara Mae Blalock, Mershon; a sister -in-law, Mary Chancey, Jacksonville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bristol Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Ramah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 at Pearson Funeral Home in Blackshear.
