Mary was the second wife of Charles Chance he was born 1825 in Pa. He moved to NJ (?year) married Elizabeth English August 3 1845 they had at least 3 chidren, Elizabeth 1846, Joseph 1848 and John 1854, must have gone off to war and I belive Elizabeth was naughty there are accounts of her having other children not mentioned in his later census records, he married Mary Sherman in 1858. Unfortuately the census records are very confusing listing ages different and children not showing up again or with incorrect ages. I have not been able to locate Charles' parents or either of his wives parents. He is my great grandfather and have his decendants tho not all of them can be explained. anyone have any of these folks in your lines????? help!!!!
