Hello, I am Robert Chancey.

We have a DNA genetic group project (along with several thousand others) at FTDNA company, coupled with one of the best known genetic laboratories in America, we now have the possibility to circumvent those brick walls we have been pounding on for so many years.

The National Geographic Society has an ongoing program to test DNA of as many different groups around the world as possible, and this will eventually be published, and probably a movie of sorts..dipicting the migration of peoples from all over the globe.

To get in on this project, you may contact FTDNA at:

If you need some 'personal' input, I will be happy to assist if I can...I am the Asst. Administrator of the Chancey, Chance, Chauncey (and other variant of the surname) project group. If you write to me at Hotmail directly, be very sure the subject line contains the word Genealogy. My spam filters are set very tight, and I only scan the subject lines before a full page deletion.

To check to see if any of your family names (surnames) have been tested at FTDNA, follow this link:

Good luck with your genealogy
