Don't know if this is your John Stanley.
Mine line is a brother, William Nelson Chance, born 1849 married Susan e. Leatherwood 25 Feb 1872 Clay Co GA.
Many of this family moved to Cobb Co Ga about 1902

John S. Chance, age 48 born July 1851 NC parents born NC married 26 years, 5 children, 3 living
wife Matilda M age 49 born Jan 1851 NC,son Ezel H. born June 1881, daughter Eliza M born June 1886. Also in household in Married son, Ira V. born Jan 1878 & wife Rosa A born April 1874, married 2 years, no children
1910 Census Marietta Cobb Co GA series T624, roll 180 part 2 pg 100A
John S Chance age 58.

Unable to locate them on 1920 Census....also search death index for Ga, started in 19119, not li
