Hello Robert. My distant cousin, Jim Chance, has traced our Chance line back to England. In fact, he shows that William E. Chance (may have been spelled Chaunce)(my mother always said they changed their spelling on their Chance name when they came to U.S.)of Sheply, Bromsgrove, England b. 1640, d. 9/19/1685 in Sumerset CO., Maryland, USA was married to Elizabeth Perkes on May 18, 1656, in Belbroughton, Worchester, England. The children that Jim lists are Richard Chance, and William Chance. My line as well as Jim's comes through Richard. We well may be related!
