We have the same family! We also descend from Daniel Donaho and Ann Chance. We are from their son Travis Fanning Donaho.

When the Choctaws were driven out of Mississipi in 1832, instead of going to Oklahoma like most everyone else, Daniel and Ann along with her brother Bob and maybe others unknown to me at this time, decided to come to Texas. They may have had at least one child in Tennessee in 1839 but it looks like they left 1836-1837 and by 1840 were in Texas. They lived in Tarkington Prairie, Liberty County, Texas. By 1847 the family had moved to Navarro County, Texas settling first in Pryor and then in the Retreat area.

Both Ann and Bob were originally buried outside the cemetery fence in Navarro County, TX because of their Indian blood. But a cousin discovered this and had the graves moved back inside the fence. I have been there and have photos of Daniel and Ann's graves.
