Eleanor's maiden name was Pierson and shows up in the various records spelled Pierson, Pearson, and Pierceson. This is confirmed both by the marriage records and her father's will.
It seems unlikely that Richard died in 1767, since his will was probated in 1747. I believe you have confused the terminal date of Richard Jr. with his father.
