hi im looking from some information on my great grandfather robert chung chan...that was his american name. he was born in a town in peking (what is was then) he was a boxer in the boxer rebellion and fled his homeland of china in order to save his life. he leftt behind his family and from the top of my head i dont know how many siblings he had or anything but im sure my mother would. he first i believed arrived in san francisco, california and i think he went to elis island, ny but eventually he went to savannah, georgia and decided thats where he was going to call home. his wife is cecille...thats her american name im not sure what her chinese name was. together they had about 9 children i think...one of those being my grandmother bernice chan. the first kids they had were the first chinese-american children born in savannah, georgia. archie and sandor i think. robert chung chan has stated many organizations in savannah, ga. one being the benevilence chinese society. i hope someone can connect with all of this. we know nothin about his family we can only go to him and my greatgrandfather because they rest is still somewhere in china. if anyone has any information please post it. thanks a lot
