None of this has been verified, but I think it may be correct:
Cordelie Champoux b. 1852 m. Joseph Laporte in 1872 Saint Paul, Joliette, Quebec.

(He was also m. to Marie-Agathe Laperche in 1766.)

I did not find Julie Portelance, but one of Benjamin's sisters, Celeste, married a Jean-Baptiste Portelance. I'll just bet there's a connection, especially since many members of this family intermarried so much.
This may help other Nebraska researchers somewhere down the road. I found it on the LDS Family site under CHAMPOUR.
