Anyone else researching these families? None of this has been verified, but I think it may be correct: Cordelie Champoux b. 1852 m. Joseph Laporte in 1872 Saint Paul, Joliette, Quebec. Cordelie Champoux was the d/o Joseph Chamoux b. 1816 ? m. Julie Portelance in 1843. Joseph Champoux was the s/o Benjamin Champoux b. 1785 m. Marie-Anne Laporte in 1808. Benjamin Champoux was the s/o Joseph b. 1743 m. (Marie- ?)Agathe Coitou-St. Jean in 1775. (He was also m. to Marie-Agathe Laperche in 1766.) Marie-Anne Laporte was the d/o Louis b. 1748 m. Marie-Angelique Gauthier-Landreville in 1773 Joseph Champoux was the s/o Joseph b. 1717 m. Marie-Anne Gauthier-Landreville in 1738 Marie-Agathe Coitou-St. Jean was the d/o Jacques b. 1723 m. Agathe Delpe-Pariseau in 1750 Joseph Champoux was the s/o Pierre (Jolicouer) b. 1686 m. Therese Gelineau in 1716 Marie-Anne Gauthier-Landreville was the d/o Pierre b. 1693 m. Marie-Anne Prevost/Provost in 1718 Jacques Coitou-St. Jean was the s/o Jacques b. 1690 m. Marie-Catherine Bricault-Lamarche in 1718 Agathe Delpe-Pariseau was the d/o ? I did not find Julie Portelance, but one of Benjamin's sisters, Celeste, married a Jean-Baptiste Portelance. I'll just bet there's a connection, especially since many members of this family intermarried so much. This may help other Nebraska researchers somewhere down the road. I found it on the LDS Family site under CHAMPOUR. Notify Administrator about this message?
