From John Langevin whose mother's maiden name was "Therese Cecile Champoux".
My ancestor Pierre Champou (Champoux) came from St Germain DEymet bishorpic de perigneux, formally of the Province of Perigord.
This city of 2000 people is today port of the department of Dordogne and is located on the dropt, near Bergerac.
Pierre Champoux came here at 20 years old, and established himself at Trois-Rivieres. In 1672 changed from the Huguenot religion tobecome a catholique.
Married January 1680 to Geneviene Guillet who bore him 3 sons and a daughter, Pierre, Louis, Jean et Madeleine.
